Find the right product

Start with what you need to identify.

Choose the product family that matches the application. Each detail page covers the relevant formats, material options, and ordering information; if the requirement does not fit a standard category, start with custom engraved placards.

In-house laser platforms
Fiber laser Marks brass, anodized aluminum, and stainless steel for permanent metal identification.
CO2 laser Engraves two-ply laminate to reveal a contrasting core for clear, durable legends.
Proof before production The customer approves the layout and supplied content before manufacturing begins.
What we manufacture

Engraved laminate and metal identification, made in Chico.

Two-ply engravable laminate uses a colored cap over a contrasting core. The CO2 laser removes the cap to form the legend, making it a practical choice for panel labels, control plates, placards, and color-coded identification.

Metal identification is produced on the in-house fiber laser. Brass supports traditional valve and permanent facility identification; anodized aluminum is widely used for asset tags and equipment nameplates; stainless steel serves demanding environments when the customer specification calls for it.

We manufacture to customer-provided content, drawings, adopted code editions, and facility specifications. We can help select a material and production format, but we do not perform engineering studies, determine required hazard information, approve compliance, or act as the authority having jurisdiction.

Materials

Four core substrates, matched to the application.

Material selection depends on the environment, mounting method, required format, and customer specification. These are the four core options; the linked product pages provide the most relevant detail for each use.

Built to your specification

We manufacture the tag. You supply the governing requirements.

The standards below commonly shape customer drawings and facility specifications across the seven product families. We reproduce customer-approved content and formats; we don't certify an installation, perform code analysis, or determine what an AHJ will require.

NEC
Electrical and solar identification
Panel, disconnect, field-applied, arc-flash, and PV markings manufactured to the adopted NEC edition and customer-provided drawing or legend.
NFPA 70E
Arc flash equipment labels
Arc flash plates engraved with the hazard information supplied by the customer's qualified study or approved facility documentation.
ANSI Z535.4
Product safety sign formats
Signal-word layouts and safety-color combinations reproduced from customer-approved artwork and specified format requirements.
ASME A13.1
Piping and valve schemes
Valve tags and identification manufactured to the facility's pipe scheme, valve schedule, numbering system, and supplied color convention.
OSHA LOTO
Permanent isolation-point identification only
We make permanent engraved identification for energy-isolation points. We don't make the temporary tagout device applied during a LOTO event.
FACILITY SPEC
Customer drawings and standards
Sizes, legends, numbering, colors, logos, holes, and mounting formats matched to customer-provided drawings, samples, and facility standards.

Frequently asked

Choosing and ordering engraved compliance tags.

How do I choose the right compliance-tag product?
Start with the item you are identifying. Panels and disconnects belong under electrical panel labels; hazard-study data belongs on arc flash plates; PV systems use solar placards; valves use brass valve tags; tracking and machine data use asset and equipment tags. For general engravable laminate, start with custom phenolic labels. If the job does not fit those categories, use custom engraved placards. Send a photo or drawing if you are unsure, and we will route the request to the right product.
What materials do you engrave?
We engrave two-ply engravable laminate on a CO2 laser and mark brass, anodized aluminum, and stainless steel on an in-house fiber laser. The appropriate substrate depends on the environment, format, mounting method, and customer specification.
What is the minimum order?
The minimum order is one. Single replacement tags, one-off plates, samples, and short runs are welcome. Quantity discounts are available for larger orders and repeat programs.
How fast do orders ship?
Standard orders ship in 24–48 hours after proof approval. Same-day rush is available on request; call to confirm the schedule for a time-critical order.
Will I receive a proof before production?
Yes, on new orders. We send a proof for customer approval before production — the opportunity to confirm wording, layout, numbering, size, material, colors, and mounting details. Reorders match the approved layout already on file.
Do you ship nationwide?
Yes. Orders ship nationwide from Chico, California. Local pickup is also available for regional buyers.
Who is responsible for code content and compliance approval?
The customer supplies the required content, drawings, adopted code edition, facility standard, and any AHJ-specific direction. We manufacture the tag to the approved specification. We don't perform engineering studies, determine hazard values or required wording, approve compliance, or act as the authority having jurisdiction.
Can you make custom sizes, shapes, legends, and mounting patterns?
Yes. Custom dimensions, shapes, hole patterns, adhesive backing, drilled or riveted mounting, sequential numbering, logos, and facility-standard layouts are available. Send a drawing, sample, photo, or written specification for review.
Can you match an existing tag or support repeat orders?
Yes. Send a sample, photo, or the existing facility template. We can match the approved material, dimensions, colors, legend format, numbering scheme, and mounting method for replacement tags and repeat programs.

Ready to identify the right tag?

Send the content, drawing, sample, or a photo of the application. We will route it to the right product, confirm material and production details, and send a proof for approval.
